Espresso tonic is the hot drink this year. I was very leery when my friend told me about the new drink. She wrote a great article about espresso tonic with some variations. I made mine very simple with sparkling water and cold espresso. I used sparkling water instead of tonic so that there would not be sugar in my drink. I choose lime-flavored sparkling water. I was shocked by how much I loved the flavors in the coffee. I could taste lavender and chocolate—a whole new experience.
