Ingredients
- 6 tbsp unsweetened Cocoa (sifted)
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- pinch salt
- 10 tbsp Irish butter softened (extra for greaseing)
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- powder sugar for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350 degrees.
- Mix cocoa and water to make a thin paste. Set to the side to cool.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut butter into chunks and put them into a bowl to use an electric mixer. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, mix until light and fluffy. Add chocolate paste and mix. Slowly start adding the dry mix to the wet mix.
- Grease a springform pan and line bottom with parchment paper. I use a small springform pan. You can use what size you like. Just adjust the cooking time. Place butter in the pan and bake about 40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean with some sticky crumbs.
