Beef and Onion Bake

Throw this dish in the oven and relax for the next couple of hours while it cooks. You could also cook this in the slow cooker and just let it simmer. A flavorful beef dish you can serve with a side of mashed potatoes, some peas or brussel sprouts and you will have your family at the table in no time.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil

8 oz pearl onions

3 garlic cloves grated

2 lbs. Stew beef Cubed

1 tsp ground cumin

2 tbsp tomato past

2 cups beef broth

1 cup dry red wine

2 bay leaves

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Place oil in a dutch oven. Peel and trim onions. Place onions, garlic, and beef in a dutch oven. Brown meat on each side. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and place in the oven with the lid. After 30 minutes, remove the cover and cook for another 1 1/2 hours if you want to cook in a slow cooker, follow above directions and instead of oven cook in a slow cooker for 5 to 6 hours on low. Add Salt and Pepper to taste.
